About

For over two decades I've worked across sectors that don't usually talk to each other: local government, parliament, unions, grassroots groups, election campaigns, and the arts. I know what drives people in each world, and I can move readily between them.

Whether I'm designing a workshop for 200, emceeing a bilingual event, helping an organisation find its strategy, or graphic recording a board meeting — the throughline is the same: I help people get clear, get aligned, and get moving.

I'm the first-born daughter of Vietnamese refugees, raised in Melbourne's west. Community, resourcefulness, and centring the agency of those most marginalised — these have shaped everything I do.

I speak Vietnamese and English fluently. I make things — with words, with pen, ink & watercolour, with rooms full of people.

A career you can't quite categorise

  • Freelance Facilitator, Trainer and Strategy Consultant — Democracy in Colour & others (ongoing)
  • Digital Communications Officer, Friends of the Earth (present)
  • National Organiser & Trainer, Australian Greens (2021–2025)
  • Bilingual Organiser & Trainer, United Workers Union (2019)
  • Member of Parliament, Victorian Upper House — Western Metro (2018)
  • Environmental Policy Officer → Sustainability Coordinator, Brimbank Council (2006–2018)
What I do

I bring people together.
I make things happen.

01

Workshop Facilitation & Design

Bespoke workshops on community organising, leadership development, power mapping, facilitation skills, public narrative, and consensus decision-making. In-person, online, or hybrid.

02

Campaign & Organisational Strategy

Co-authoring org strategies, theory of change, campaign design and evaluation. Done this for Democracy in Colour, the Green Institute, election campaigns, and grassroots collectives.

03

Emcee — Bilingual (EN/VI)

Confident emcee for events intimate or enormous — from a kitchen table of six to a public forum of thousands. Bilingual in English and Vietnamese. I'll say what is worth saying, for this moment and this gathering.

04

Graphic Recording

Live visual capture of meetings, workshops, and events. I translate what's said in the room into something people can see, share, and remember.

05

Illustration & Art Sessions

Watercolour (Australian florals), pen and ink illustration, and group or individual art sessions — all materials supplied. I'll come to you, or we can meet at one of my favourite cafes in the west.

06

Community Engagement & Strategy

Strategic advice on community engagement, volunteer systems, campaign structure, and organisational capacity — for nonprofits, advocacy orgs, and community groups at any stage.

Get in touch

Let's figure out
what we can build
together.

Whether you need someone to lead a room, shape a strategy, or bring people together around a creative idea — tell me about what you're looking to build. I'd love to help you get there.

How it works

  1. 1 Get in touch by email or phone with any and all details about the work you'd like us to do together.
  2. 2 We do a 20-minute briefing call to make sure we're a good fit and we're clear about expectations.
  3. 3 I send you a proposal. We either agree, negotiate the details, or leave it there — no pressure.
  4. 4 We do the work. We do it well. We make it count.
